We run Treasure Hunt team building across the Nordic region — six cities, each with its own character, and each offering something no other destination can replicate. Whether your team is based in Stockholm, flying in from London, or looking for a multi-city incentive programme, here is what you need to know about each location.
| City | Country | Capacity | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stockholm | Sweden | 9–300+ | All groups, primary base, international visitors |
| Gothenburg | Sweden | 9–200 | West Coast trips, coastal atmosphere |
| Malmö | Sweden | 9–200 | Øresund region, southern Swedish charm |
| Copenhagen | Denmark | 9–200 | Nordic design, international flair |
| Oslo | Norway | 9–200 | Fjord culture, Viking heritage |
| Helsinki | Finland | 9–200 | Baltic gem, island archipelago feel |
Stockholm — our home ground
Stockholm is the best choice for the vast majority of corporate groups — the largest capacity, the most striking historic backdrop, and the easiest access from anywhere in Europe. Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace, Djurgården and the waterways between the islands make Stockholm genuinely unique. No other Nordic city packs this density of dramatic scenery into a walkable area.
- Best for: all group sizes, first-time Nordic visitors, incentive trips, international teams
- Capacity: 9 to 300+ participants
- Highlights: Gamla Stan, Royal Palace, Djurgården, historic waterways, Riddarholmen
- Languages: English, Swedish, German
- Season: year-round, with peak season May–September
Gothenburg
Gothenburg is the best choice for teams based in western Sweden or those who want Sweden's most relaxed, coastal atmosphere. Sweden's second city has a completely different character from Stockholm — more laid-back, with a strong maritime heritage, beautiful 19th-century architecture in Haga, and one of the best restaurant scenes in Scandinavia.
- Best for: West Coast trips, teams already in Gothenburg, a more relaxed Nordic vibe
- Capacity: 9 to 200 participants
- Highlights: Haga district, Avenyn boulevard, the old harbour, Gothenburg Opera
- Languages: English, Swedish
- Season: year-round
Malmö
Malmö is the best choice for teams in the Øresund region, or for groups that want to combine Swedish and Danish culture in a single trip. Malmö offers a fascinating contrast between a compact medieval centre and one of Europe's most forward-thinking modern districts, Västra Hamnen — all with the iconic Øresund Bridge in the background.
- Best for: Øresund region teams, groups combining Malmö + Copenhagen in one trip
- Capacity: 9 to 200 participants
- Highlights: Stortorget, Lilla Torg, Västra Hamnen, Øresund Bridge views
- Languages: English, Swedish
- Season: year-round
Copenhagen
Copenhagen is the best choice for groups who want a Danish adventure or for international teams for whom Copenhagen is the easiest entry point into Scandinavia. Nordic design, Nyhavn, Viking history and a world-class restaurant scene make the Danish capital one of the most popular corporate destination choices in all of Europe.
- Best for: international teams, groups arriving via CPH hub, design-focused companies
- Capacity: 9 to 200 participants
- Highlights: Nyhavn, Tivoli Gardens, Christiansborg Palace, the Little Mermaid
- Languages: English
- Season: year-round
Oslo
Oslo is the best choice for teams that want the full Nordic fjord experience combined with a vibrant capital city. Viking ship museums, the Aker Brygge waterfront, the Royal Palace and sweeping fjord views make Oslo a uniquely dramatic setting for team building — unlike anywhere else on the planet.
- Best for: groups visiting Norway, teams wanting a premium Nordic experience
- Capacity: 9 to 200 participants
- Highlights: Aker Brygge, Karl Johans gate, the Viking Ship Museum, Vigeland Park
- Languages: English
- Season: year-round (best May–September)
Helsinki
Helsinki is the best choice for groups that want something genuinely different — a compact, walkable capital with Art Nouveau architecture, a stunning island archipelago, and a design scene that punches far above its weight. Finland's capital is still one of Europe's best-kept secrets for corporate travel, which means no queues and an authentic experience every time.
- Best for: groups wanting something off the beaten corporate path, design and tech companies
- Capacity: 9 to 200 participants
- Highlights: Senate Square, Market Square, the island fortress of Suomenlinna, Design District
- Languages: English
- Season: year-round (spectacular in both summer and winter)
How to choose the right city
Three questions decide it: where is your team flying from, what atmosphere do you want, and do you have a preferred country? Here is a quick decision guide:
- First Nordic trip, maximum impact → Stockholm
- Team based in western Sweden → Gothenburg
- Øresund region or combining two cities → Malmö + Copenhagen
- International team, easiest Scandinavian hub → Copenhagen or Stockholm
- Want fjords and Viking culture → Oslo
- Something genuinely different → Helsinki
